A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy practitioner, based in the peaceful town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The path to getting some control back could begin here...

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • CBT is a relatively short-term, highly structured form of talking psychotherapy.

  • It helps you recognise and troubleshoot the link between the way you think and interpret life’s events and the way you end up acting.

  • It focuses on providing you with tools to solve your current problems, although a look at the past is often relevant.

  • It aims to change your moods by identifying and then modifying negative automatic thoughts and core beliefs, regulating routine and minimising avoidance

  • CBT is now widely used by the NHS, sometimes as an alternative to, and often in combination with, medication for a variety of mental health disorders

  • CBT has been extensively investigated in rigorous clinical trials around the world.

  • You can learn to change your perceptions and how you see things in your life. This could well have a more positive effect on behaviour and mood.
